It has been 2 decades since the Marvel Studios started developing the storyline of each character, and the release of Avengers: Endgame will wrap up the history, explanations, and suspense of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

#20 WORST- THOR: THE DARK WORLD
Thor had the perfect mix of comedy, action, and drama, but this sequel failed to match up to its level. While the film did manage to entertain and was loved by the audience, it didn’t bring about something groundbreaking or mind-blowing.
The film managed to score a decent 66% on Rotten Tomatoes, which isn’t that bad!
#19 BEST- CAPTAIN AMERICA: THE WINTER SOLDIER
The film is packed with amazing action sequences, great comic timing and the usual dose of drama. Chris Evans as Steve Rogers, Scarlett Johansson as the feisty Black Widow, Sebastian Stan playing Bucky and other actors managed to pull off the movie with a 90% on Rotten Tomatoes and made it a huge hit! The film is also significant as it starts to develop the storyline of the Civil War!
#18 WORST- THE INCREDIBLE HULK
This film wasn’t liked by the audience and the critics! Both the groups disliked the casting of Edward Norton as The Hulk. The special effects weren’t up to the mark and the film failed to capture Bruce Banner’s emotional turmoil and failed to develop a legacy. The movie managed to get a meager score of 67% on Rotten Tomatoes.
Well, Mark Ruffalo is portraying the Hulk in the Avengers now!
#17 BEST- DOCTOR STRANGE
The movie about a magician-wizard Doctor Strange portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch was able to capture the audience with its special effects and brilliant script. The character wasn’t much significant in the Marvel movies until the Avengers: Infinity War, where the time-traveling wizard is the only one who knows what Avengers: Endgame has in store for its audience!
The film scored an 89% on Rotten Tomatoes!#16 WORST- ANT-MAN
Paul Rudd’s portrayal of criminal-turned-hero Scott Lang managed to impress the audience, but not the critics. This film is much more engaging than its sequel and is packed with action and comedy.
The film scored an average of 82% on Rotten Tomatoes.
#15 BEST- ANT-MAN AND THE WASP
Another amazing film by the Marvel Studios. This one managed to score a great 88% on Rotten Tomatoes. This movie introduced Wasp and is packed with comedy and action scenes! While its prequel is featured in our ‘Worst’ category, this film managed to be one of the Best by the Marvel Universe. Watch out for Ant-Man in Avengers: End Game.
#14 WORST- THOR
To be honest, the film is amazing. But when you compare it to the other flicks of Marvel Studios, it fails to waive its magic. The movie introduced Thor as a significant character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and also gave us Loki! Thor scored a meager 77% on Rotten Tomatoes.
#13 BEST- GUARDIANS OF THE GALAXY
It is one of the most bone-tickling films of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, with a score of 91%. It was a funny flick, not really emphasizing on the hero’s struggles, just like every other superhero movie! The ensemble cast makes it a great watch.
#12 WORST- CAPTAIN AMERICA: FIRST AVENGER
This movie introduced Steve Rogers aka Captain America into the Marvel Universe. The film was well-directed, but it didn’t manage to make the critics go wow! Tom Huddleston didn’t consider the film as a ‘knockout’, but it still managed to receive an average rating of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.
#11 BEST- CAPTAIN AMERICA: CIVIL WAR
This spectacular film managed to take the box office by storm. The two superhero teams- Team Captain America and Team Iron Man go against each other. It introduced Tom Holland as the Spiderman into the Marvel Universe! The film got a score of 91%!
#10 WORST- IRON MAN 2
Iron Man 2 was well-received by Marvel fans, but it didn’t manage to hit the critics. It introduced Black Widow and War Machine into the Marvel Cinematic Universe. However, it was the villains who brought down the film! The movie received a rating of 73%.
#9 BEST- SPIDERMAN: HOMECOMING
This film gave Peter Parker, portrayed by Tom Holland, a better chance after the failure of the Amazing Spider-Man films. Michael Keaton was also brilliant in his role and the film managed to score a high 92%!
#8 WORST- AVENGERS: THE AGE OF ULTRON
This film introduced Scarlet Witch, Vision and many other characters. It was a good watch, with many mind-blowing moments like Vision handing over Thor’s hammer to him, which is capable to be lifted only by those who are worthy! The film improved in special effects and proved to be yet another amazing hit. However, the movie had nothing new to offer, thus a rating of 75% on Rotten Tomatoes.
#7 BEST- THOR: RAGNAROK
The movie is a perfect mix of action and comedy! It gave Thor a completely new look, with his long locks chopped off and him losing an eye! Cate Blanchett was flawless while portraying Thor’s sister Hella. The film involved Hela destroying Thor’s hammer with her bare hands, which made the audience spellbound. Director Taika Waititi did a great job and scored a rating of 92%!
#6 WORST- IRON MAN-3
Guess none of the sequels of Iron Man managed to impress the critics. The comedy by Ben Kingsley as Mandarin is hilarious. Guy Pearce brilliantly portrays the role of Killian, but the film never really took off. It received a score of 80% on Rotten Tomatoes.
#5 BEST- IRON MAN
The original film performed far better than its sequels. Robert Downey Jr. possesses the wit of Tony Stark in real life and is able to pull off the character with ease. The film impressed the audience, as well as the critics, and scored 93% on Rotten Tomatoes.
#4 WORST- GUARDIANS OF GALAXY VOLUME 2
Although the film scored a good 84%, it doesn’t fall into the Top 10 Best Films of Marvel Universe. The film portrays Peter Quill meeting his father and the other teammates prepping up to fight the new enemy. However, it doesn’t offer anything unique!
#3 BEST- THE AVENGERS
Probably the most favorite of the lot, it managed to have an overall rating of 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, owing to its action-packed sequences, great special effects, and an engaging script. Watch this movie to get the real Marvel experience!
#2 WORST- AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR
Okay, this might come as a shocker to you, but as per Rotten Tomatoes, it is what it is! It did have some amazing special effects, enthralling action scenes and of course, the thrill! However, it managed to score only 85%! FACT- It is the first movie where Guardians of the Galaxy and the Avengers come together!
#1 BEST- BLACK PANTHER
The film won hearts and an Oscar too! It had a great amalgamation of action and drama, which made it No. 1 in the Best Marvel Universe Movies! The perfect casting of Chadwick Boseman, Lupita Nyong’O, Michael B. Jordan and others managed to get Black Panther a score of 97%!
