COFFEE AND TEA
Consuming tea and coffee can stain the teeth as they contain tannins. Moreover, the acidic property of coffee can damage the teeth especially when the PH level of the mouth is low. Therefore, one should avoid regular intake of such drinks.
SOY SAUCE
The dark color of soy sauce stains the teeth. The mouth should be rinsed soon after having a meal with soy sauce as one of the ingredients. This can help prevent staining of the teeth and keep the shine intact.
RED WINE
The stains caused by the red wine are hard to remove. Red wine contains tannins and has acidic property capable of damaging the enamel. Red wine, however, can prevent built up of cavities.
WHITE WINE
White wine does not cause any staining but it can make stains already on the teeth more prominent. Hence, too much usage of white wine needs to be avoided.
CANDY
Candy reduces the PH level of the mouth making the teeth more prone to cavity and damages. The sugary delight sticks to the teeth and allows bacteria to sit on it which promote rotting and discoloration.
BLACKBERRIES
Blackberries or other dark pigment fruits are loaded with vitamins and antioxidants that stain the teeth.
SODA AND SUGARY DELIGHTS
The sugary drinks that we have in beverage can be harmful to our teeth. They aid mouth bacteria and can cause a cavity and completely damage your teeth.
CITRUS FRUITS
The acidic substance can cause a yellowish stain on the teeth. Citric fruits can erode enamel exposing dentin. Foods such as lemon juice and Grapefruit are highly acidic in particular as they both can erode tooth enamel over time.
PICKLES
Pickles are yummy food items that are quite harmful to the teeth. Try avoiding them in your sandwich. If can’t, do brush your teeth soon after having pickles as they can cause yellow teeth.
